The main chemical composition of granite is silicon dioxide (SiO2 >65%), and the content of other components is relatively small (Fe2O3, FeO, MgO generally <2%, CaO<3%). The mineral composition of granite is mainly silicate minerals, mainly quartz, feldspar and mica, among which the quartz content accounts for 20% to 40%. Since granite is mainly composed of light-colored silicon-aluminum minerals, and less iron-magnesium dark-colored minerals, its color is mainly light-colored, but the color is darker with more dark-colored minerals. Granite's mineral particles have larger crystals and similar particle sizes, showing mosaic and granular crystal structures. Different types of minerals are arranged in a regular or irregular manner.
