Natural Silver Quartzite

Approve Matrix Silver from the Actual Slab, Not a Color Name

Our Matrix Silver Slab is natural quartzite with a dark silver-to-black background and highly expressive mineral movement. Polished surfaces reveal metallic-looking silver areas, darker linear markings and irregular natural structures that vary across each slab.

Because this is quarried natural stone, no two slabs should be expected to match exactly. For islands, counters, reception surfaces and feature panels, we recommend selecting from current full-slab references before fabrication.

For project purchasing: send us the required slab or finished-piece form, preferred thickness and finish, quantity, destination and drawings when available. We can then review the current slab lot and fabrication scope against the visible project surfaces.

Natural Surface Character

Matrix Silver Is Defined by Mineral Movement, Not Pattern Repeat

Matrix Silver has a very different visual logic from engineered grey or black quartz. Its appearance is irregular and geological: some areas show dense silver movement, others carry darker elongated markings, and the polished surface can reflect light differently across the slab.

Silver Movement

Metallic-looking light areas create the characteristic silver effect and can vary in density across the slab.

Dark Markings

Black and charcoal mineral structures create local contrast and should be reviewed before assigning large visible pieces.

Directional Texture

Some areas show a stronger directional flow, so orientation can matter on islands, panels and adjoining pieces.

Natural Variation

Shade, mineral concentration and surface movement will vary between actual slabs and should form part of the approval process.

Product Specification

Build the Order Around the Current Slab Lot and Project Scope

The current StoneEpic Quartzite catalog classifies Matrix Silver as natural quartzite and recommends confirming slab format, thickness, finish, quantity and fabrication requirements against the current material lot rather than applying engineered-quartz assumptions.

Specification Project Requirement
Product Matrix Silver Slab
Material Natural Quartzite
Color Direction Silver, charcoal and black with expressive natural mineral movement
Slab Size Confirm current usable slab dimensions from the available lot
Thickness Confirm required thickness and current availability before quotation
Finish Polished finish is shown in the current product imagery; other finish requirements should be reviewed for the order
Supply Form Full slabs or drawing-based cut-to-size pieces can be reviewed
Visual Approval Current numbered slab photos or lot references recommended
Fabrication Finished dimensions, openings, visible edges and piece marks should follow approved drawings
Packing Confirm according to slab or finished-piece dimensions and project shipment requirements
Full-Slab Approval

Use Numbered Slabs to Control High-Visibility Pieces

A small Matrix Silver sample can show the general dark-silver character, but it cannot show the full mineral distribution. For a large island, reception counter or feature wall, the complete slab is the more useful approval reference.

1

Review the Current Lot

Compare actual slab photographs and identify the silver-to-dark range acceptable for the project.

2

Confirm Visible Faces

Identify islands, wall panels and other surfaces where mineral movement will remain highly visible.

3

Plan Orientation

Mark the preferred direction for pieces where the natural structure should relate to adjoining components.

4

Release the Cutting Scope

Keep the selected slab references, finished dimensions and latest drawings connected before fabrication.

Information We Need Before Quotation

  • Matrix Silver product reference
  • Full slabs or finished pieces
  • Preferred slab size direction
  • Required thickness
  • Required surface finish
  • Quantity
  • Finished dimensions if fabricated
  • Sink or appliance openings
  • Visible edge requirements
  • Preferred movement or orientation
  • Destination country or port
Project Applications

Use Matrix Silver Where Natural Stone Character Is the Design Feature

Kitchen Islands

Large islands provide enough surface area for the metallic silver and darker mineral structures to remain visible.

Countertops

Countertop layouts should coordinate openings, seams, visible edges and the selected slab movement.

Reception Counters

The dark silver surface can act as a focal material in hotel, office and other high-visibility interiors.

Feature Walls

Full-slab or cut-panel layouts should consider vertical orientation, joints and visible mineral transitions.

Vanity Tops

Basin openings, tap holes, backsplashes and exposed edges should be included in the fabrication drawing.

Fireplace Surrounds

Panel dimensions and visible faces should be defined with the project designer before material cutting is released.

Fabrication Planning

Place Openings and Seams Around the Approved Slab

Natural quartzite should be fabricated from an approved slab reference rather than treated as a uniform repeating surface. Cutouts and seams can change how the strongest mineral movement appears in the finished piece.

  • Provide finished dimensions by piece
  • Identify sink and cooktop openings
  • Mark faucet and service holes
  • Show each visible edge
  • Identify intended seam positions
  • State preferred slab orientation
  • Include current drawing revision
Natural Features

Agree How Visible Mineral Features Should Be Handled

Matrix Silver shows strong natural mineral structure. Buyers should identify which surfaces are visually critical and agree how pronounced dark markings, silver concentration and other natural features are treated in visible pieces.

Natural quartzite may also require stone-specific fabrication or reinforcement decisions depending on the actual slab. These should be confirmed from the current material rather than assumed from a generic product description.

Material Comparison

Matrix Silver Is a Different Buying Decision from Grey Engineered Quartz

Matrix Silver Quartzite

Natural quarried stone with irregular silver-black mineral movement and slab-to-slab variation.

Mont Elbrus Quartzite

A quieter light-grey natural quartzite direction when the project needs less dramatic contrast.

Grey Engineered Quartz

A manufactured surface selected by product code, defined pattern and production reference rather than individual natural slabs.

Packing & Identification

Keep the Selected Slab and Finished Pieces Traceable

Full slabs and fabricated components require different handling. When Matrix Silver is cut into project pieces, the packing plan should preserve the relationship between the approved slab, drawing reference and installation set.

Full Slabs

Keep slab references identifiable so the delivered material can be checked against the approved lot.

Finished Pieces

Piece marks can connect countertops, vanities or panels to the corresponding drawing location.

Project Sets

Room, elevation, set or crate references can be coordinated when included in the approved order scope.

Buyer Questions

Matrix Silver Slab FAQ

Is Matrix Silver a natural quartzite or engineered quartz? +

Matrix Silver is classified in our current catalog as natural quartzite. It should be selected from actual slab references rather than treated as a manufactured repeating quartz pattern.

Will every Matrix Silver slab look the same? +

No. It is natural stone, so silver movement, dark mineral markings and overall distribution vary between slabs. Current full-slab photos should be used for visual approval.

Can Matrix Silver be supplied as full slabs? +

Yes. Full quartzite slab supply is part of our current natural quartzite program. Request current slab dimensions, thickness, finish, quantity and lot photos for quotation.

Can Matrix Silver be fabricated from project drawings? +

Drawing-based quartzite requests can be reviewed for countertops, vanities, panels and other cut-to-size pieces. Send finished dimensions, openings, edges, seams and visible-face requirements.

Should we approve Matrix Silver from a small sample? +

A sample can help confirm the general color and finish, but full-slab photos are more useful for understanding the mineral movement and selecting highly visible pieces.

What should we send for a Matrix Silver quotation? +

Send the Matrix Silver reference, full-slab or fabricated requirement, preferred dimensions, thickness, finish, quantity, drawings, openings, visible edges, movement preferences, packing needs and destination.
