We supply granite flooring because it reliably performs where people and equipment move every day. Unlike softer materials, granite resists abrasion and point load damage; it also tolerates common outdoor stresses. • Composition: crystalline igneous rock with high quartz content-gives compressive strength and low porosity.
• Typical sizes: tiles from 300×300 mm up to 600×600 mm; larger slabs/flags and cut-to-size panels available.
• Typical thickness: 15–30 mm for tiles; 30–50 mm for heavy-duty outdoor slabs.
• Finishes: polished (interior), honed (matte interior), flamed or sandblasted (exterior anti-slip). Choose finish based on slip requirements and cleaning regime.
• Durability metrics to request: abrasion resistance (A/PEI rating where applicable), water absorption (usually <0.6% for quality granite), and Mohs hardness. Ask your supplier for test reports if the spec is critical.

Granite is forgiving in appearance but unforgiving in poor installation. To avoid problems on site:

Confirm substrate and screed tolerances. Granite flooring needs a flat, rigid base; thin-set over soft substrates will result in cracking.

Define joint width, grout type and movement joints up front. Narrow joints look neat but require good tolerance control.

For exterior works, detail drainage and anti-frost measures. Freeze–thaw exposure requires a robust bedding and suitable stone thickness.

Coordination: provide slab/tile layouts and tolerances early so fabricators can plan cuts and minimise offcuts.

• Factory cutting, calibrated thickness and pre-finished edges reduce on-site work. We supply batch photos, slab IDs and QC documentation on request.
• Edge profiles and bullnose/mitre work can be completed in the workshop to save site time.
• For large projects we suggest pre-shipment sample boards and trial panels to verify colour/finish under site lighting.

• Packaging: export-grade crates with internal bracing; pallets for tiles. We label crates per area/unit on request to ease site handling.
• Phased deliveries: organise shipments to align with construction stages-reduces on-site storage and handling.
• Minimum order advice: ordering in sensible batch sizes minimises shade variation and simplifies matching. We can advise the economical breakpoints for container or LCL shipments.

• Routine care: sweep and mop with pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid abrasive cleaners that degrade polished surfaces.
• Sealing: not strictly necessary for most granites; recommended only for high-stain-risk locations. If used, select breathable sealers and test on a sample.
• Repair: chips and edge damage are repairable on site, but planned spare tiles/slabs from the same batch simplify replacements.
